Caledonian Road – Friday the Thirteenth (1933)

Friday the Thirteenth (1933) | Caledonian Road

Jessie Matthews, Ralph Richardson and Max Miller in an all star cast, the lives of passengers on a bus before a crash.

There are numerous views in ‘Friday the Thirteenth’ of Caledonian Road and also the Metropolitan Cattle Market in Islington. Built to cope with the limitations of Smithfield to process livestock, it closed in the 1960s. Only the Grade II Italianate Market Clock now remains, recently restored and viewable by the public on guided tours, in nearby Caledonian Park. It can be seen in the titles of the Max Bygraves starrer ‘A Cry From the Streets‘ (1958) and in ‘The Boys In Brown‘ (1949).
