Listen to Roz. You could learn a thing or two.

There is no ‘Music For Films’ without the wit, the wisdom, the not infrequent side-eye of poet, novelist, critic, civil rights activist… Roz Kaveney.

How It Started

The Electric Cinema all-nighter which Roz talks about was on 10th December 1971.

Roz and Tim went to the cinema in Tooting that was Angela Carter’s favourite as a child, and which she based a sequence in ‘The Infernal Desire Machines of Doctor Hoffman’ on. Roz reads it from the seats where the narrator is sitting in the book… and we all struggle to keep it together. Emotional, and the best thing we’ve done as The BeeKeepers so far.
