The Love Test (1935) | Wembley Park
Charming ‘Women in science’ early quota quickie from Powell: when Judy Gunn (Mary Lee) is made the head of a chemistry lab, her male colleagues try to trick her into falling in love so she’ll become a dizzy little thing and be fired.
Now known as Fountain Studios and home to the ‘X Factor’ TV show, Wembley Park Studios was one of a number of small production centres dotted around London in the Thirties, leased by Fox British Productions in 1935.
